The Mid Wales My Way brochure brings it all together. It offers inspiration for your next escape, whatever the season.

Walking and wildlife on a Mid Wales holiday

Stride out along fabulous walking trails. Choose from two National Trails. Glyndwr’s Way and Offa’s Dyke Path both wind through stunning scenery. The Beacons Way and the scenic Kerry Ridgeway add even more.

Prefer something gentler? Lakeside, river and woodland routes suit an easy ramble. Explore the Elan Valley, one of Britain’s last surviving wildernesses. Or roam the Brecon Beacons National Park, with its big open spaces and treasured Dark Sky status.

On the water and on two wheels

Take to the water with ease. Fish on Lake Vyrnwy or the River Severn. Paddle down the Wye. Or hop aboard a canal boat on the Montgomery or Mon and Brec Canal.

Cyclists are spoilt here too. The climb to Hay Bluff is a true staircase to heaven, with views to match. The Radnor Ring offers a scenic 86-mile loop. Lon Cambria and Lon Las Cymru both pass through the region. Families can enjoy gentle rides at Lake Vyrnwy, the canals, or Garwnant, with mini trails and a skills park for young tricksters. Keen mountain bikers head to Machynlleth, Llanwrtyd Wells and beyond.

Festivals, food and adventure

The arts scene here is enviable. Hay Literary Festival, Brecon Jazz and Green Man draw crowds each year. Tiny Llanwrtyd Wells hosts wonderfully wacky events too. Think bog snorkelling and the Real Ale Ramble.

Crave a thrill? Soar in a glider or race along zip wires. Try climbing, high ropes or a caving adventure below ground. Afterwards, browse galleries, independent stores and tempting eateries.

Rest comes easy as well. Choose spa hotels, cosy b&bs, home-from-home cottages, camping or glamping. The free brochure helps you plan it all and start dreaming of your Welsh adventure.
