With a rich and intricate history, beginning and remaining in the home of British pottery, Burleigh have been making earthenware since 1851.
Proudly based at Middleport Pottery in Stoke-on-Trent since 1889. Blue Asiatic Pheasants, Blue Calico and Blue Regal Peacock are their most iconic collections, with every piece handmade in England.
Their production requires skills and experience that are unique to their craftspeople and can’t be found anywhere else in the world. Burleigh’s famous tissue transfer decoration uses engraved copper rollers to bring their archive patterns to life. They’re the only pottery in the world to still use this technique.
